About the Mission Trip
A mission trip is an opportunity for a group of people to practice living in intentional Christian community together. We travel to another community to learn about other people and serve them with love. However, the Mission Trip is not just a week of service, it is a 7- month commitment to participate in preparatory training, fundraising, the service week itself, and advocacy afterwards.
Why do we go?
So many reasons! We go because we feel compelled by the Gospel to care for the poor
and vulnerable of our world; because there is a deep need for helpers in this world; because we have so much love to share. Through this mission trip you’ll learn new skills, experience more of God’s amazing creation, form deep connections with friends new and old and have an experience you’ll never forget.
What organization will we work with?
Back Bay Mission...
What kind of work will we do?
Our group will be divided into work teams serving at various sites throughout the week. Each work team is led by student leaders with adult support. The worksites will include TBD.
Is it safe to travel on a Mission Trip?
There is always some level of risk involved in traveling to an unfamiliar destination and trying new things – whether it’s a worksite injury, COVID-19, or just plain old homesickness. By training and preparing in advance, counting on experienced and reliable adult chaperones, and working closely with our local partners, we have a long track record of running successful and safe Mission Trips.
