Dear Friends,
It's a long weekend – unofficially the last weekend of summer, as we mark Labor Day. That means it's a great weekend to come to worship this Sunday at 9:30 a.m.!
On the bulletin cover for Sunday, you will find these words written by Abraham Joshua Heschel in The Sabbath. "The goal is not to have but to be, not to own but to give, not to control but to share." This sounds like what we strive to do here at First Church – being people of light sharing and giving what we have to make the world a more just, hopeful and compassionate place.
We hope you will worship with us this Sunday in the Meetinghouse or online at 9:30 a.m.
The bulletin, large print bulletin and announcement slides are available on our website. You can watch any of our livestreamed or recorded services on our YouTube channel.
Sunday will be a good day to worship together – join us! We also hope you come to Homecoming worship at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, September 13. There is a picnic following the service, and our youth programs kick off that day as well. 🙂
Take care,
Kate
