Dear Friends,

This week I’ve been humming one of the hymns we will sing on Sunday at our worship services.

Won’t you let me be your servant, let me be as Christ to you?

Pray that I may have the grace to let you be my servant, too.

We are pilgrims on a journey, we are travelers on the road;

We are here to help each other go the mile and bear the load.

I will hold the Christ-light for you in the shadow of your fear;

I will hold my hand out to you, speak the peace you long to hear.

I will weep when you are weeping; When you laugh, I’ll laugh with you.

I will share your joy and sorrow till we’ve seen this journey through.

In a society where individualism and always being the best is often the goal, our church strives to be different. We come to our community knowing that no matter where we are on life’s journey, we are welcome and valued. We work to build relationships and keep our promises to one another and to God to do justice, love kindness and walk humbly with our God.

We hope you will worship with us this Sunday at 8:00 a.m. in the Micah Chapel or at 10:00 a.m. in the Meetinghouse or online.

The bulletin, large print bulletin and announcement slides are available on our website. You can watch any of our livestreamed or recorded services on our YouTube channel.

As we journey through life, as travelers on the road, may we always remember that God is with us and that “we are here to help each other go the mile and bear the load.”

Hope to see you Sunday!

Blessings,

Kate

Our First Church family of faith enjoys worshipping together, and we hope you will join us! Our worship services are at 8:00 am in the Micah Chapel, 10:00 am in the Meetinghouse and livestreamed at 10:00 am (and are also available for viewing later).
