Dear Friends,

Epiphany Sunday is just a few days away, and we have the blessing of worshipping together for our annual Lessons and Carols service. The season of Advent is marked by the four Sundays leading up to Christmas. It is a season of waiting and preparing for the birth of Jesus on Christmas, which lasts for 12 days until Epiphany (January 6). For many people, Christmas is old news once December 25 passes, but others keep celebrating until Epiphany. This year we get to hear the amazing story of Jesus' birth through word and song on January 4 – what an awesome Epiphany gift for us!

We invite you to worship with us this Sunday for our annual Lessons and Carols service. We have one service only this Sunday at 10:00 a.m. in the Meetinghouse. We give thanks for all of our church musicians who have been practicing for months. The service will also be livestreamed online.

The bulletin, large print bulletin and announcement slides are available on our website. You can watch any of our livestreamed or recorded services on our YouTube channel.

In a world of violence, darkness and hatred, let us share God's light by singing loudly, praying fervently and serving with great compassion.

Blessings,

Kate

Our First Church family of faith enjoys worshipping together, and we hope you will join us! On most Sundays our worship services are at 8:00 am in the Micah Chapel, 10:00 am in the Meetinghouse and livestreamed at 10:00 am (and are also available for viewing later).
