Dear Friends,
Each week we pick quotes to go on the front of the bulletin cover.
“We live in a world in which we need to share responsibility. It's easy to say, ‘It's not my child, not my community, not my world, not my problem.’ Then there are those who see the need and respond. I consider those people my heroes.” (Fred Rogers)
Imagine if we lived in a world where we shared responsibility and worked together to include, love and support all of God’s children. Imagine if we were all heroes seeing and responding to the needs around us.
This Sunday we will be reminded that we are God’s beloved creation as we celebrate the baptism of Jesus. As we’ve done in the past, we will reaffirm our baptismal promises in a special ritual during our worship services. Being named as God’s beloved is a gift, and although sometimes we don’t feel worthy, God’s love always has the last word.
Please join us on Sunday as we worship together at 8:00 a.m. in the Micah Chapel and 10:00 a.m. in the Meetinghouse or you can worship online.
The bulletin, large print bulletin and announcement slides are available on our website. You can watch any of our livestreamed or recorded services on our YouTube channel.
Friends, we belong to God, and we belong to each other. Thanks be to God!
Blessings,
Kate
Our First Church family of faith enjoys worshipping together, and we hope you will join us! On most Sundays our worship services are at 8:00 am in the Micah Chapel, 10:00 am in the Meetinghouse and livestreamed at 10:00 am (and are also available for viewing later).
