Upcoming Dates: Monday, January 19, and Monday, February 16

Time: 11:30 am - 2:30 pm

Where: 55 Bartholomew Avenue, Hartford

Volunteers can bake cookies at home to add to the meal!

Several times per year, we provide the food and bring in a crew to serve lunch.

We have three opportunities this winter to serve at Hands on Hartford’s Gather 55 restaurant at 55 Bartholomew Avenue in Hartford. We will bring cookies and serve lunch on Monday, January 19 (Martin Luther King Day) and Monday, February 16 (Presidents Day).

You can sign up online to serve the meal or bake cookies. The cookies should be labeled and dropped off in the church kitchen by 11:00 a.m. on the Sunday before. It’s no longer necessary to bag them individually. If you have any questions, please contact Terry Darr at terrydarr@sbcglobal.net.

Also, please save the date for making and serving the entire meal for their March 23 Community Dinner. Watch for sign-up information in the February + March Reminder.

More information:

Providing the meal: When we bring the meal, we need a main dish (recipes provided), prepared salads, dinner rolls, fruit, beverages and dessert. Those items can be dropped off at the church kitchen ahead of the meal.

Serving the meal: This involves set up, serving and clean up. We arrive at 55 Bartholomew Avenue in Hartford at 11:30 a.m. and are done by 2:30 p.m.

Volunteer assistance is greatly appreciated!
