Board of Christian Service Monthly Food Collection:
First Church has a long tradition of collecting food items for our neighbors in need. You can drop off your donations in the back lobby or in the Narthex. We support the Horace Bushnell Children’s Food Pantry, MACC (Manchester Area Conference of Churches), Glastonbury Food Pantry and the Glastonbury Links Together weekend food backpack program for school children.
In April, we’re asking for contributions for the Horace Bushnell Children’s Food Pantry, including instant potatoes, pasta and pasta sauce, peanut butter and jelly and other items.
In May, we will support the Manchester Area Conference of Churches (MACC) with donations of canned fruit, baking mixes, granola bars and other items.
Please bring food that is not expired or open.
Our donation baskets are in the Narthex, the Micah Chapel and the back lobby.
