As the spring flowers begin to bud, we will celebrate the blooming talent of First Church former youth chorister Johan Hartman. A professional opera singer and composer, Johan has been inspiring audiences throughout the United States and Europe while performing leading roles in Mozart’s Don Giovanni and Marriage of Figaro. He will perform a one-of-a-kind recital with selections from Schubert’s Die Schöne Müllerin and the complete Don Quichotte songs by Ibert, as well as two original song cycles by Johan himself, one of which will be the world premiere of his cycle on the poem Soliloquy of the Spanish Cloister by Robert Browning.
