Dear Friends,
During this season of Lent, I've been trying to exercise my heart and soul by slowing down, breathing and finding moments of peace. One of my favorite quotes from Saint Teresa of Avila reminds us that we aren’t on our journey of life alone. “The feeling remains that God is on the journey, too.”
Perhaps worshipping together will provide you with a moment of peace and a glimpse of God. We hope you will join us this Sunday at 8:00 a.m. in the Micah Chapel, 10:00 a.m. in the Meetinghouse or online.

Lately I've been thinking about how life changed so dramatically and quickly during the pandemic. It was a scary time, and we all found comfort and peace in different ways. During that unsettling time, I took great comfort in music, my gardens, family and our church community where we continued to be in relationship with one another in new and creative ways.
First Church is a blessing to us and to the world, and I'm grateful to be part of our community where we come together to be in fellowship, learn, worship and serve together.
