Throughout the service, our faithful media volunteers tried to remedy the problem, but unfortunately, the issue hasn't been identified yet. As I shared in my sermon, "Some of you may have seen the documentary about Chris and Hilde that aired back in 2010 - A Small Act.'
A Holocaust survivor - a Jewish child who had been rescued by strangers, while her parents were murdered - had, decades later, rescued an African boy through education by her generosity and kindness.
This is how grace moves through history. Quietly. Person to person. Often unseen. This is how we live with God-listening and generous hearts."

Dear Friends,
My five-week-long sabbatical time was a gift. During my time away from First Church, we took family adventures, and I had time to catch up with friends. I walked, gardened and read "fluffy" books. We took our family vacation to the Midwest, and I tried to catch up on some home tasks. One of the highlights of my time away was worshipping at a few other churches in our area. Sitting in the pews, singing, praying and listening provided moments of grace and connection that my soul needed.
Our church provides a safe place where we are inspired, challenged and comforted. In worship, we get to come together to experience moments of grace and connection.
We invite you to worship with us this Sunday at 9:30 a.m. in the Meetinghouse or online.
