Dear Friends,

As we approach Transfiguration Sunday, we remember the story of Jesus shining with holy light on the mountaintop. Peter wanted to stay there, to build tents and hold onto that sacred moment. But Jesus led the disciples back down the mountain and into the ordinary world where love is practiced each day.

Transfiguration reminds us that holy ground is not just found in extraordinary moments. Whenever we choose love over fear, compassion over convenience, and justice over indifference, we are standing on holy ground. Kitchens, hospital rooms, classrooms and workplaces can all become sacred spaces when love is present. We carry the light of the mountain into our daily lives, trusting that every act of love reveals Christ among us.

One way we are reminded of this light is by gathering together for worship. We hope you will join us this Sunday at 8:00 a.m. in the Micah Chapel, 10:00 a.m. in the Meetinghouse or online.

The bulletin, large print bulletin and announcement slides are available on our website. You can watch any of our livestreamed or recorded services on our YouTube channel.

May the light of Christ guide your steps this week and may every act of love become holy ground.

Hope to see you Sunday,

Nicole
