- 1 min read

When: Sunday, May 31
Time: 11:30 am (Micah Moment)
Where: Micah Chapel
The program is sponsored by our Mental Health Ministry. If you have questions, please contact Nicole Noonan at nicolewnoonan@gmail.com.
Please mark your calendars for our 10:00 am worship service on May 31 when the Mental Health Ministry (MHM) team will spotlight Mental Health Awareness Month by featuring a special treat: five therapy dogs and their handlers will join us serving as "guest greeters" and sharing their comfort and love during the Children's Message, worship service and in Church School classrooms!
After the 10:00 am service, the MHM Team invites you to join Sandra Lok, past president and current member of Tails of Joy (a nonprofit Manchester-based networking and supportive organization for registered therapy dogs and their handlers), for a Micah Moment in the Micah Chapel at 11:30 am! Sandra, who has been volunteering with her registered therapy dogs local schools, nursing homes and colleges since 2008, and one of her beautiful therapy pups will talk about:
The difference between service dogs, emotional support dogs and therapy dogs
The characteristics of a good therapy dog candidate
The role of a therapy dog handler
How to become a therapy dog team with your dog
Who, where and when therapy dogs visit, and
The benefits therapy dogs offer.
We look forward to sharing this special experience with you! If you have any questions, please reach out to MHM member Nicole Noonan.
