Our Prayer and Share group resumes meeting on Tuesday, September 10. For easy access, you may use the ramp at the rear, north side of the church.
What is Prayer and Share? What do we do there? We gather to greet and catch up with each other, followed by a brief relaxation meditation to help us transition from the rush to get there to ‘being’ there. We study a book to help us learn, share and grow in our faith. We then share prayer requests and pray for our world, our nation, our communities, our faith communities and our individual needs and concerns, as well as celebrate answers to prayers.
This September we will read The Holy Spirit Here and Now by Trevor Hudson for our sharing/discussions. Do you ever wonder who or what the Holy Spirit is? Perhaps you know something about the Holy Spirit and want to know more. How does the Holy Spirit work? When or where do we see the Holy Spirit at work in our world or in our lives? Trevor Hudson uses what the biblical writers have to say about the Holy Spirit and shares his personal journey, practical guidance and simple exercises to help us experience the Holy Spirit’s movement in our lives.
All are welcome to join us to discover how the Spirit: Brings us alive to God’s presence; Guides us in decision making; Transforms us inwardly; Draws us into community with others; Helps us pray; Guides us in decision making.
