About Andrew

Andrew grew up in Coventry, CT and began his faith journey at a young age at his local Congregational church. He graduated from Coventry High School in 2005 and completed a B.A. in Economics and Political Science from the University of Connecticut in 2009. In 2017 he earned his M.B.A. from Mississippi State University.

As a teenager, Andrew enjoyed his church's youth programs and began working at Silver Lake Conference Center, Connecticut's United Church of Christ summer camp and retreat center, which began a career in ministry to youth and families.

Andrew has served as the youth ministries director at First Congregational Church of Coventry and East Granby Congregational Church, and beginning in 2011, First Church of Christ, Glastonbury.

Andrew has also spent time as a missionary in New Orleans, through the UCC's Partners in Service, and served as the Bridge Executive Director of Silver Lake Conference Center.

After spending several years traveling and living in Thailand, Ecuador and Paraguay, Andrew began his formal pathway to ordination in 2020. In 2021 he was granted Authorized Lay Ministerial Standing by the Hartford East Association, and was Ordained on March 12, 2023.

Andrew explains his love for First Church this way:

For over a decade, First Church has been a spiritual home to me. It's a place where I feel the sacredness of beloved community and where people passionately seek to live out our shared call to serve the least, the last, and the lost and to care for all Creation. This is the place where I feel God calling me again and again to serve in ministry, and where I find God's voice resonating deeply in my soul.

Andrew and his wife Rachel were married at First Church in 2019 and now live in Glastonbury. Outside of his pastoral responsibilities, Andrew enjoys reading the news, learning languages, soccer, skiing, traveling, and playing video games. He has served on the Board of Directors of the Missionary Society of Connecticut, Board of Directors of Silver Lake Conference Center, and as Chair of the Southern New England Conference Volunteer Development Committee.
