Church School Mission Project 2023 - 2024:
Self-Serve Food Pantries at Middletown Middle and High Schools in Partnership with St. Vincent de Paul
Each year our Church School partners with a non-profit agency to help provide vital funding for a particular program, either locally or abroad. We are called as Christians to love one another and serve our brothers and sisters in Christ.
This year we are partnering with St. Vincent de Paul Middletown to help expand their successful elementary school meal program in the Middletown Public Schools (MPSCT) to the middle and high schools. MPSCT created a self-serve market location in each school and they have also secured dietary science interns to staff the markets in each school. St. Vincent de Paul Middletown oversees the logistics and replenishes the healthy food inventory every week. School administrators note that, “Students who come in on Monday mornings after a weekend of adequate nourishment perform better socially, academically and physically. Money collected from children’s offerings, bake sales, Advent calendar sales, your donations and memorial gifts all go towards this worthy cause. We appreciate your generous gifts and the support you give all of our children’s fundraising efforts.
We donated $11,150 to Rawdat El Zuhur School in Jerusalem in 2023!
